Fra innledningen i artikkelen:
”In a rapidly changing society, there is a significant need for continuing education for teachers in Swedish schools to respond to and deal with difficult and controversial issues (Skolinspektionen, 2022; Forum för levande historia, 2020). This becomes particularly evident in subjects that touch on potentially sensitive areas such as religion, gender and coexistence, where teachers need tools to raise such issues with students in a constructive way and allow them to meet different perspectives and arguments. Values Clarification has for many years been such a tool, a participatory method including various techniques to reflect value-laden and important but difficult questions that include ethics and morality. For a Nordic drama educator, Values Clarification is – both on its own and imbedded in other drama methods such as Forum Play – a common part of the toolbox. As far as we know, there is no current international overview of knowledge that describes the merits and weaknesses of the method based on todayʼs school and society”
